Privacy policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
This policy explains what the OZU Global Shopify app collects, why, where it is kept, who sees it and how it is deleted. It covers merchants who install the app and the buyers whose international orders the app helps ship.
Who we are
OZU Global is made by OZU Logistics Marketplace ("OZU", "we"), Z2-3126, 3rd Floor, Akshar Business Park, Sector 25, Vashi, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra 400703, India. For data about your store we decide how it is used. For your buyers' data, you (the merchant) are in charge and we process it on your behalf, only to ship your orders. Contact us at ceo@ozumax.com.
What we collect
We get data from Shopify through the permissions you approve when you install the app, and from what you type into the app. We hold:
- Store details: your myshopify domain, store name, store currency, store country, default weight unit, and when you installed or uninstalled the app.
- Your settings: the PIN code parcels are picked up from, the countries you sell to, and your pricing settings.
- Products: for each product variant, its Shopify ID, product and variant title, SKU, status, price, weight, whether it needs shipping, and the international prices we set for it.
- Publishing history: each time you publish or remove international prices, the settings and courier rates used, the prices written, and the IDs of the markets, catalogs, price lists, shipping zones and discount we created in your store, so they can be updated or removed later.
- Background tasks: progress and error messages for product imports and publishing.
- Access token: the token Shopify issues so the app can work on your store, and the permissions it carries. We use one token per store, not per staff member, so we don't store your staff's names or email addresses.
- International orders: for orders shipping outside India only, the order number; the shipping name, address lines, city, state or province, postal code, country and phone number; the buyer's email address; each item's title, quantity and weight; and the order totals. We keep these to arrange the shipment. We don't store orders that ship within India.
- Server logs: standard request logs (your store domain, IP address, time and page requested) to keep the app running and secure.
We never receive payment card details. The app adds no scripts, cookies or trackers to your storefront. Its checkout discount runs inside Shopify and reads only the cart's item weights, the shipping figures we saved on your products, the delivery country and the shipping charged; it sends nothing to us.
How we use it
- To work out international shipping for your products and show you the prices.
- To publish those prices, shipping rates and the combined shipping discount to your store when you ask, and to keep them up to date when your products change.
- To arrange shipping for your international orders: booking the courier, collecting the parcel and delivering it to your buyer.
- To answer your support requests and fix problems.
We don't sell this data or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Google Cloud hosts the app, its database and its logs.
- Courier partners receive the shipping details of an international order (receiver name, address, phone number, contents and weights) so they can deliver it. Because the parcel goes abroad, these details travel with it to the destination country.
- Authorities, only where the law requires it.
Where it is stored and how it is protected
Data is stored in India, on Google Cloud in the asia-south1 (Mumbai) region. It is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Every webhook from Shopify is checked for Shopify's signature before we act on it. Only OZU staff who need it to run the app or ship your orders can access it.
How long we keep it and how it is deleted
- We keep your store's data while the app is installed.
- When you uninstall, we delete your access token at once. Shopify tells us to erase your store 48 hours later, and we then delete everything we hold for it: settings, products, publishing history, background tasks and orders. If you reinstall within those 48 hours, your settings are kept.
- When a buyer asks you to delete their data, Shopify tells us and we erase that buyer's order details.
- When a buyer asks you for their data, Shopify tells us and we send you what we hold about them.
- Server logs are kept by Google Cloud Logging under its default retention, then deleted.
Uninstalling stops our access to your store, so we can't remove the prices and shipping rates we created afterwards. To take them out, use "Remove from my store" on the International prices page before you uninstall.
Your rights
